Dale released an alternate version of his Operation BushMaster mission in the BI forums.

In Operation BushMaster II the waves of enemies you face will come once the previous[/page] wave has been eliminated, as opposed to Operation BushMaster. This will hopefully give you time to reorganise yourselves!! Each wave will start 20 - 30 seconds after the previous wave. Trust me though, it still aint easy!!

Captain Bravo informed us he released a new mission in the BI forums.

A few have asked if we can release this mission to the public, so here it is.

Situation:
A week ago a convoy carrying a diplomat was ambushed and the diplomat was captured by the rebels as a hostage. The terrorists have given the US government an ultimatum: release their captured leader or the diplomat will be executed. The negotiations have failed and only 45 minutes remains of the deadline. You are to lead an undercover SF team to town to mount a rescue mission to bring him back to base. Satellites confirm the diplomat is being held on a chicken yard next to the central mosque and is being heavily guarded.
It is an undercover mission where you have to infiltrate a city and rescue a kidnapped diplomat. Once you have secured the hostage, proceed to the extraction point where a helicopter will exfiltrate your team and the hostage.

This is a tough mission that needs a real team play. Preferably at least 4 human players (up to 8 can play). Please note although the diplomat is playable, he should be only used by human if he acts like a drunken human! (you can team switch)

You also have a Satellite at your disposal so use it wisely to observe enemy movement and plan your approach. (directions on how to use Satellite are on download page).

Also you have ammo box at your start point. Evaluate what you might need in this mission ..

If you are spotted inside the red zone (near central mosque), the diplomat will be executed immediately!

There is a timer that will pop up every 10 minutes to remind you of the hostage execution deadline (45 minutes).The town is full of civilians so you must be cautious and avoid civilian casualties as much as possible.

You are the team leader so think carefully before you act. Will you drive through guns blazing? Use stealth approach? or ...

t0m informed us about the release of this gamemode in the BI forums.

Over at ArmA: Theatre of War we've grown tired at fighting along pre designated zones and lines that the map makers decided for us. We wanted to decide where to fight and how to defend that position. So we began working on dynamic game modes, our first released one being Takistan RUMBLE. Takistan Rumble is our public release of AToW's own in house map, Takistan Fortification.


The only limitations within our game mode over where you fight are:
  • The size of the zones.
  • The number of flags in play

If you have a small community and you want to fight over a smaller area? Make the zones smaller. You can even make more than one if you wish to focus the fighting around certain points. The number of flags also adjusts dynamically depending on the number or players on the server.

And hey, if you want to fight over the whole map, you can do that. Just make the zones that big.

Pittmann[AMF] has informed us he started to work on his first island for Arma 2 called Torina Island.

StubbleHopper has informed us he is still working on his Sharpe's Rifles mod and has sent some new pictures to show to the community.

Been too busy with real life to do much with this lately, but just started again after a long break and here's what I've been upto, added some Highlanders, some French infantry and some Prussians in the form of Landwehr and Line infantry. I've got a horse in game and working, but could do with better animations, both for cavalry and wagons. In the works are artillerymen for all sides, some Feench hussars, cuirassiers and light infantry, could still use some help with particle effects for musket and cannon fire, as I don't have the knowhow myself, not yet anyways. A lot of these are still not quite finished but thanks for looking.

SLAYER_RF released his Russian Federation Mechanized Infantry in desert camo addon on the BI forums.

This addon adds RF mechanized infantry in digital desert camo of the CSTO.
There are two configs for use this new units with default ingame weapon or with weapons from Vilas pack. In case, you want to use soldiers equiped with Vilas's, you'll need install his weapon pack.

You must use only one config-file at time.

Also, there is two replacement files, which provide replace default RF units with this in digital camo.
First file provide replacement of units and nothing more. The second - replaces units and change their equipment to Vilas's one.

With replacements works the same rules as with config-files. You must use only one config-file at time.
Complete instructions on how to use addon are placed in archive and have russian and english language versions.

Ohally has submitted an updated version of the Operation Northstar mod, this mod is now made for Combined Operations (A2 + A2OA).
The Operation Northstar mod adds Canadian forces to Arma 2 and features the following:

NSX released the RHS BTR-70 by Manfred, the RHS Cargo System and an updated version of the RHS Decals on the BI forums.

So, here we go again. Todays yummy is BTR-70. This addon has a long history of developement - it was originally made by Manfred from flashpoint.ru and then the progress got stuck because of the lack of people, who could finish the finalizing stages of this designing. Long story short - one day it finally came into the talented hands of our guys, where it was finally made operational and largely pimped up in both look and diversity (and our thanks goes to topas here), as well as in features and possibilities.

The addon itself comes bundled with updated decals pack (which itself was enlarged a lot since the last revision) and the cargo system - a brand new invention of our scripters. While you're familiar with the first thing, the second is something new. This system allows you to ride ontop the armor of diffirent vehicles + it features possibilities to turn on, turn off and manage the options this system gives to you on the run.
Notice, that it's only in the beginning of the developement, so the only supported vehicle is BTR-70 so far. But we're already working on the updated builds, which aim to provide support of this system for most of the vehicles you can see in vanilla A2/OA - furthermore, every vehicle will have its own customized riding animations.

And as a sweet dessert we prepared a special gift - 3 high quality MP missions from Our Army team (english-speaking users may know these guys because of their previously well-recognized Our Weapons department famous for their finest addons for OFP) - one of the most distinguished russian-speaking MP teams, which reinacts the tactics of Soviet Army.

In this Mission you play Takistani Insurgents against Americans.

Players have to fight trough some little Villages,American Checkpoints and Citybases to Rasman Airfield where the Main battle takes place.

Objectives:
Fight trough Zavarak,Sagram and Imarat,break trough american Checkpoints,
Destroy US Fuel Storage at the Oilfield,Destroy US Firebase,fight trough Rasman to the Airport,clean Rasman and Airport.
Edit: I also added a nice Ambush Mission.An Amercian Fuel Convoy is on the way from the Pakistan (in my Stories Takistan is neighbourland of Pakistan) to the Fuel Depot at Oilfield.Players have to destroy the Convoy and the Fuel Depot.Since statics can be transported and moved around by Feet,its easy to setup a cool Ambush.
I also adeed 2 Crates with IED´s.You can use them like Satchel Charges but enemy dont notice its a Bomb.You can setup a Movielike Ambush.Local Informers will inform the Team about the Convoy Position

Grizzle released an updated version of his Visual House Position Module on the BI Forums.

Fer informed us about the release of a new version of the F2 Mission Development Framework.

The F2 OA Folk build has been expanded to provide US Army and Takistani Army platoons, which means all 3 major sides are represented out of the box (with full support for loadouts, group markers etc.). Full details on the OA Folk Platoons page, and for more background you can read About the Folk Platoon concept.

All builds for ArmA2 have been frozen at v2-4-1.

ziiip has submitted this mission playable in singleplayer and coop for ArmA 2.

I created this mission to have some fun with cleaning enemy towns, outposts. There is a background story though, just to make things whole.

Not tested with any AI mod.

Features:
  • many small-scale firefights
  • a side mission (search the first town to start it)
  • weapons selection in the debriefing
  • good FPS, as most of the enemies are spawned in at the appropriate time

Deadfast released an updated version of his replacement addon for the RH Pistol pack Remake on the BI forums.
With this new version he made the addon compatible with Operation Arrowhead and Combined Operations.

Replace the stock M1911, M9 and M9 SD with the equivalents from RobertHammer's pistol pack!
This is a pure client-side modification. The players you play with online will not be affected by this addon in any way, it does not change damage values, zoom levels or anything else than the model itself.
For players who do not have this addon installed you will appear to hold the original stock model, while you see them holding the RH pack's equivalent. The same rule applies for any weapons lying on the ground - you see them as RH weapons, others will see them as stock weapons.

Xeno426 released his TGW Sight Extension on the BI forums.
This mod enables the new sights used by the GDT Mod Under-slung Grenade Launcher sights to be applied to the new grenade launchers in Operation Arrowhead and the BAF package. The M32 uses the GP25 sights, while the M79, Mk13 and L17 use the M204 sights.

VanhA has submitted his 2nd mission for Operation Arrowhead.
In this 10 player co-op mission a US depot was run over by the Takistani forces. Now the depot serves as a prison for local freedom fighters.
Your 10 man team will be inserted close the area and from there you shall proceed to the depot and use a laptop to get rid of a scud threat. The area is well defended by the 5th Takistani armored brigade so getting close would be suicide.
